How can I engage my employees to enrol in the benefits offered?

Let's make sure you offer great benefits, and that your employees use them.

Here are some tips to take the best out of Kota and ensure your staff is delighted with their benefits and adheres to them:

1) Plans are for your people

Before creating your benefits package and explaining Kota to your people, think about the demographic and their needs. Is maternity cover something people are looking for? Is it dental care? Would a sports add-on be popular? Make sure you know that these plans are right for your people.

2) Educate and excite your people

Employees will want to know how Kota benefits them in their day-to-day lives. How can you make sure they know what benefits they're receiving?

  • Explain the product to them before they receive their benefits. Whether it's on your weekly Townhall call, or over email, explain to your staff the value of healthcare and pension, and how easy it is to sign up. It might not be the most glamorous of topics, but it is surely important.

  • Explain the pricing. If you contribute to your employees' healthcare plan, let them know the discount that they'll be receiving due to the employer contribution - everyone loves good value!

3) Check in with your people

In the web app, on your employer home dashboard, you'll be able to see an employee breakdown per benefit status. That is, how many employees have enrolled in the benefits offered, how many have not yet enrolled but were invited to, and how many have not even been offered any benefits. This way, you can easily follow up with those that have not enrolled yet, or offer to those who have not even been offered yet.

By clicking on ‘View all’, you’ll be directed to the People page where you can verify each staff member status.

We strongly recommend you check in with your employees who haven't enrolled yet. Sometimes, during busy periods, emails get lost, and important things get deprioritised. One quick check-in could be all that they need to unleash all the advantages of the benefits you're offering.
