How can I use Kota to offer my own employee benefits?

You can use Kota to centralise all of your company's benefits to employees. Kota currently partners with trusted providers to allow employers to take out health insurance plans, pension schemes and life assurance. But that's not all. You can use our app to distribute other benefits you already have - either provided by you or by a third party you have an agreement with, for example, you can add your gym membership perk or a bike-to-work scheme. There's no limit on the number of benefits you can offer through Kota.

Step-by-step tutorial

  1. Head to the Benefits page in your Kota account and select the country you'd like to offer benefits in.

  2. At the top of the page, click on the 'Bring your own benefits into Kota’'s box.

  3. Insert all the required information to customise your own benefits page: category, redemption type, name, summary description and redemption instructions. Depending on the redemption type offered, you'll be able to add a redemption code, link, or simply text instructions. What are the redemption types?

    Link - For benefits that can be claimed using a link from a link or a website. This can be a website hosted by you or a third-party website.

    Code - For benefits that can be claimed using a coupon code.

    Guide - In case there's no specific link or code, and you simply need to provide some steps on how to proceed with the redemption.

    Note that for free text fields, you have 250 characters available to add a short description of your benefit, so make sure you have a summarised version of what you want employees to know. If the benefit is a little more complex and requires further space to explain, you can always forward your employees to a specific link where you provide the full details on that benefit.

    Once you've finalised inserting all the required information, you can activate the benefit. All employees in the chosen country that the benefit is offered in will be notified and invited to use Kota to put that perk into action!

If you have staff in multiple countries and would like to offer a certain benefit to all employees (despite the country they're based), you'll have to create the same benefit for each of the countries involved.


Please also note that a perk is not possible to add for specific employees only, it will be shared with everyone in the chosen country.
