Yes, you can add dependants to your plan with Kota. These include your children and/or spouse/partner living in the same household.
However, there are specific timings in which you’re allowed to add dependants:

On Kota’s mobile app, on step 7 of your health enrolment, you'll get to a summary page. On this same page, at the bottom, you can find the '+ Add a person' button. Click here to add your dependants to your plan, be it a partner or children you'd like to include. You'll be prompted to insert some basic information about them, and hey presto, your dependant is added to your health insurance plan.

When the time comes to renew your policy (you can see this detail in the mobile app, when you tap on the Health Insurance section), you can request us via chat or email to add your dependant/s. This is the dependant’s information we will require:
Name
Date of birth
Relationship with you (children or spouse/partner)
Gender (preferred)
Whether they have health insurance already. If so:
Provider
Policy number
Date until they were last covered
Email address (for adult dependants only)
We will then liaise with Irish Life Health to get your policy updated, which should usually be done in just a couple of working days.

There are certain exceptions to add dependants to a policy mid-year. Regardless of when you’re renewing your policy, if you just got married, or gave birth, for instance, you can also request us to add your spouse or newborn child to your policy. The process is the same as for policy renewals. You’ll need to contact us via chat or email, and mention the relevant life event that is backing up your request, as well as provide your dependant/s’ details:

Gender (preferred)
Whether they have health insurance already. If so:

Date until they were last covered
Email address (for adult dependants only)
Once your request is escalated by Kota to Irish Life Health, it should be just a question of a few working days until the dependants are added.
⚠️ Note that adding people to your plan will increase its premium. As so, if your employer isn't covering the full cost of your healthcare, you will see a quote at the end (including the cost of your dependants) and a breakdown of how much will be paid by your employer and the difference, ie, how much should be paid by you from your salary.
