What happens if an employee leaves the company mid-term?
Updated over a week ago

If an employee enrolled in your group health insurance plan leaves the company mid-term, you will need to follow the regular removal process to ensure the employee is deactivated from the policy. Here’s how it works:

1. Deactivate the Employee: Log in to your Kota account and deactivate the employee from the People list.

2. Vitality Liaison: We will liaise with Vitality to update your membership list accordingly.

3. Confirmation: Within a maximum of 2 working days, we will send you the updated membership list and a plan amendment document via email.

Regarding the employee's last month of coverage, you will be charged on a prorated basis, reflecting the actual duration of the employee's coverage for that month.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage changes to your group health insurance plan and ensure your membership list is always current.
