What is a mid-term joiner?
Updated over 6 months ago

A mid-term joiner refers to an employee who you add to an existing Vitality health insurance plan after the plan has already started via Kota. This typically happens when a new employee joins your organisation partway through the insurance policy term.

If you wish to add a new employee to your existing Vitality health insurance plan, our process is straightforward:

  1. Add the Employee: You simply need to add the new employee to the UK health benefit package on your Kota account.

  2. Get a Quote: Once the employee is added, we will obtain a quote for the additional coverage from the insurance provider.

  3. Quote Confirmation: We will then inform you of the quote. Upon confirmation from you that you are happy with the quote, we will proceed.

  4. Provider Confirmation: We will confirm the addition of the new employee with the insurance provider.

  5. Update Premium: The new employee will be fully added to the health insurance package, and the premium due by you, as the employer, will be updated accordingly. We will send you all the documentation with the updated membership list and respective premiums.

This process can take approximately up to 3 working days (also depending on how quickly you're able to confirm Vitality's quote) and ensures that your new employees receive health insurance coverage seamlessly and that your company's health benefits remain comprehensive and up-to-date.
