We want to ensure that Kota is a product that suits everyone - diverse employers' and employees' profiles. The product is thus completely customisable and built to suit a wide range of budgets and coverages. We believe this is the best scenario as we understand different people have different needs, so empowering your staff to make the best option for them is better than a one-size-fits-all solution.

Yet, this flexibility won't make it more complex for you to handle this benefit. You'll be able to select the maximum amount within your budget you'd like to contribute to your employees' healthcare plan, and, on their end, your employees will be able to select what plan and what coverages suit them best within that price range. They'll even be allowed to choose a more expensive plan if that meets their needs better and they're willing to cover the difference from their salary.

Nonetheless, if you prefer your employees to join one specific plan, you can check the average base price* of that plan and set it as your health insurance contribution. Then, you can communicate with your staff to encourage them to select that plan.

The above is not applicable to the UK healthcare solution offered by Kota. For UK health insurance, employers select one single plan for their whole staff.

*Even though each plan has a base price, its exact premium will vary per employee, as the calculation depends on individual attributes. That is, for instance, if two of your employees choose the same healthcare plan, they won’t necessarily have the same price.
