Employees based in Ireland with an Irish Life pension scheme are entitled to pause contributions for an undetermined period or even completely opt out.
To pause your contributions, open Kota's mobile app, go to the Retirement section and select 'Pause contributions'.
In case you decide to opt out from the pension scheme, be aware that you're entitled to get a refund of the contributions you've paid, if you've been in the pension scheme for less than two years. Learn more about it here.

Employees based in the UK and enrolled in a Smart Pension scheme can only pause their contributions for a maximum of 3 years - by the end of that period they’ll be automatically re-enrolled. If you wish to interrupt your contributions, simply open Kota's mobile app and tap on Retirement. On the Retirement screen, scroll down to the very bottom and select 'Pause contributions'.
