How do I add an adviser to the Smart Pension platform?

Access to the Smart Pensions platform is essential to guarantee that you have all the information needed to run payroll correctly, and that you stay informed on legal requirements you must abide by. 

When you create your UK pension scheme in Kota's platform, you must add company signatories (usually your company directors, or someone authorised to sign the participation agreement for your company). The signatories receive an email from Smart Pension with login details. Once logged in, they can 'add an adviser' to the Smart Pension platform. Whoever manages payroll should be added to ensure day to day operations run effectively ex) HR manager and/or accountant.

Steps to invite an adviser to Smart Pension:

  1. Log in to your Smart Pension account and click on 'Menu' in the top right corner.

  2. Select 'Company details'.

  3. Scroll down and select 'Advisers'.

  4. At the bottom of this page, click on the link 'click here to create an adviser invitation'.

  5. Click on the 'Create adviser invitation' blue button.

  6. A new URL will be displayed. Next to it, you'll find an envelope icon. Click on it and insert the email address of the person you'd like to invite to your Smart Pension account.
