If you're not enrolled yet
When you log in to our mobile app for the first time, you're shown the benefits your employer offers you via Kota. If you tap on the Health Insurance tab, you’ll be able to see up to how much your employer is contributing to this benefit.
On the next screen, you'll see a list of all available plans for you to choose from. The plan closest in price to the money that your employer is contributing will appear first, followed by the other options below to browse through.
For each option, we'll tell you what the premium cost is, and how much of that premium will be paid by you. If 'Personal payment from' is 0, it means that your employer will be fully paying for your health insurance plan. In the example below, if you select that plan, it means that your employer will be paying €70.41 per month - even if they had set up a higher maximum amount.
If 'Personal payment from' is higher than 0, it means you may have picked a plan that's higher in cost than the contribution your employer has offered. This will appear again at the end of the process where you confirm your quote and take out your policy. This additional cost will be taken through payroll each month.
1️⃣ It is important to always consider the final quote displayed by the end of the enrolment process. If you've added any add-ons, the premium price displayed in the beginning might have increased and therefore might have exceeded your employer's contribution - in which case you'd have to pay for the difference.
2️⃣ If you're in the UK, you won't see this screen as you'll be automatically enrolled in health insurance, in case this is a benefit offered by your employer.

If you're already enrolled
If you've already confirmed your healthcare plan selection and are already enrolled, you can easily check how much your employer is paying for your health insurance by opening the app and tapping on the 'Health Insurance' section. Scroll down and you'll see the 'Your company pays' field displaying the amount paid by your employer. If this amount matches the one displayed in 'Monthly premium', it means that your health insurance is fully paid by your employer. In case there's a difference, you'll be paying that remaining from your salary every month.
1️⃣ Note that the amount displayed in 'Your company pays' might not always reflect the maximum amount your company is willing to pay for your health insurance. This happens when you have originally selected a plan that is cheaper than your employer's maximum limit. If you don't remember this anymore and would like to know what is your employer's maximum limit, please reach out to us at [email protected].
2️⃣ If you're in the UK, you won't have access to this information.
