What happens at health insurance renewal?

Updated over a month ago

Health insurance policies typically last for one year, starting from the date your employer began the group health scheme (not necessarily from when you enrolled). At the end of this one-year period, the policy is automatically renewed to ensure continuous coverage.

Renewal is the ideal time to make adjustments to your plan, such as adding or removing dependants or changing coverage options. Some of these updates may not be allowed mid-year, so we encourage you to review your needs during this period.

👀 Note that the health insurance provider may update policy prices at renewal, which could result in a slight increase in costs. Additionally, your employer’s contributions toward your plan or your dependants (if applicable) may also change at this time.
