What is auto-enrolment?
Updated over a week ago

All UK employers must provide a pension scheme. This is called 'automatic enrolment'. Your employer must automatically enrol you into a pension scheme and make contributions to your pension if all of the following apply:

  • You're classed as a 'worker' and you earn more than £10,000 a year (£833 a month or £192 a week) before tax

  • You're aged between 22 and State Pension age

  • You ordinarily work in the UK

You can read more details in this article.

This means that if you meet this criteria, and your employer is working with Kota to enrol you in a pension scheme, you don't need to do anything, as you'll be automatically enrolled. After being added to the scheme, you should have received an invitation email to join Kota and download our mobile app. You'll be able to find the details about your pension scheme there.
