Contributions*: For UK pension, the minimum contribution is 8% total. This makes up the employer and employee contribution minimum. The legal minimum for an employer is 3%, leaving the employee to make up the remaining 5%. You can contribute more, bringing the employee contribution down also.

In most automatic enrolment schemes, you’ll make contributions based on your total earnings between £6,240 and £50,270 a year before tax.
